Town Board MEETING
The best way to provide feedback to the Town Board is in writing and it is important they hear from you on this important issue. You can also provide feedback or comment to the Town Board during “privilege of the floor.” This occurs at the end of Town Board meetings.
This agenda includes a ‘BESS Update’ by Town Councilmember, Jim Ulvestad. Additionally, there will be a special Town Board Meeting scheduled on June 29th or June 30th regarding BESS.

PLANNING WORKSHOP
How far have we made it in three weeks? Town Board status update. BESS Dialogue. Comments to the board for draft law.
We’re consolidating our notes for this meeting to post to the public. As we’re juggling many events, it will just be a bit longer. Thanks for your patience.
COMMUNITY FORUM: BATTERY ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEMS
The Town of Gardiner invites residents to attend a Community Forum on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) on Tuesday, April 14 at 7:00 PM at Gardiner Town Hall.
The forum will feature Dr. Jeffrey Seidman of Vassar College, who recently spoke on this topic at a regional BESS program. Dr. Seidman will provide an overview of how battery energy storage systems work, discuss safety considerations, and address why these systems are becoming more common in Gardiner and neighboring communities.
If you missed the March 31st presentation in New Paltz, don’t worry — this forum will cover similar foundational information, with a focus on issues and questions specific to Gardiner. Community members will have the opportunity to learn more and engage in discussion about potential local impacts.
The forum will be held in person at Gardiner Town Hall, 2340 Route 44/55, and via Zoom. All residents are encouraged to attend.

VISION-INTENT-Collaborate
Lets collaborate: What’s are the issues? What are we here for? How can we help craft this very important law? How can we work to protect our community rights from state overreach?
